Hi Blasters! Hope everyone is staying warm and enjoying the snow day! Even though it’s snowy out now, summer is right around the corner and we are preparing by getting the backbone of our team set early. Do you have a potential swimmer coach in your midst? We have the place for all those "dive-minded" young folks!! The Braemar Blasters are seeking responsible mentors and swimmer coaches for the 2026 summer swim season to help make a "splash" for all our Blasters! We are looking for all levels of swimmer coaches, including College Coaches. The application and more information, including code of conduct and the swimmer coach policy, are available on our website (you can access via the hyperlink or by clicking on the swimmer coach application button on the homepage). You will need to login to view the information. Swimmer coaches can also use the google form to apply directly. Interviews—if needed—will take place in February in-person, most likely at CPAC on Sundays. College age applicants interviews will be conducted virtually at another date to be determined.

The deadline to turn in an application is no later than Friday, February 6.

Based on feedback from the swimmer coaches last year, we have updated our swimmer coach policy and requirements. Please review the swimmer coach policy for more specifics. Again this summer, the Blasters will only have 2 swimmer coach options: Junior and Senior coach. Individuals will be selected for each position based on many things, including previous experience. Please note, just because a swimmer coach was in a certain position last year, that does not guarantee them the same or higher position this year. Like in the past, Junior Coaches will have a free registration and still be unpaid positions. Senior Coaches will have a discounted registration fee but will continue to be paid positions. New this summer, swimmer coaches 14 - 15 years of age may be eligible to receive payment if (1) they have coached a previous season and (2) they obtain an employment certificate from the Commonwealth of Virginia prior to May 1. Finally, there are limited spots for both Junior and Senior Swimmer Coaches, meaning just applying for the position does not guarantee the position.

All swimmer coaches (and their families) will continue to have the ability to register early--Friday, March 7--so mark the date on your calendar.
